Lesson duration
We offer one hour, one and half hour or two hour lessons. However, research shows that pupils taking two hour lessons over the course of time learn faster than those taking one hour lessons. Two hour lesson is more beneficial as it increases knowledge and confidence of the pupil.
Working this out over a period of time, it can be found that four two hour lessons will contain the same learning time as ten one hour lessons. A two hour lesson also gives opportunities to the instructor to deliver a structured lesson from the moment you sit behind the wheel.
Driving School – Terms and Conditions
Safety & Fitness to Drive
For the safety of everyone, all pupils must ensure that they are mentally and physically fit to drive before every lesson. Pupils must not attend driving lessons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that may affect their ability to drive safely.
Pupils must also ensure they are well-rested and not suffering from tiredness or fatigue, as this can affect concentration, reaction times, and overall driving ability. If a pupil is too tired to drive safely, the instructor reserves the right to postpone or cancel the lesson. Any applicable cancellation charges will be subject to the driving school’s cancellation policy
Payments and Lesson Fees
Payment for each driving lesson must be made at the start of the lesson, unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed with the instructor in advance.
If a pupil needs to withdraw cash from an ATM to pay for their lesson, they must inform the instructor at the start of the lesson so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
Lesson Cancellation
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson for any reason. If you cancel or request to reschedule a lesson with less than 48 hours’ notice, the full lesson fee will be charged to cover the instructor’s reserved time and loss of earnings.
Please understand that reasons such as lateness, headaches, forgetness or routine hospital appointments will not be accepted as grounds for waiving the cancellation fee. Only genuine medical emergencies, such as an emergency hospital visit, may be considered as an exception. Valid supporting evidence will be required, and any exception will be assessed at the driving school’s discretion.
We ask all pupils to respect the instructor’s time and give sufficient notice when changes are necessary.
Practical Driving Test Cancellations
When cancelling or changing a practical driving test, the DVSA requires three clear working days’ notice to avoid losing your test fee. Weekends and public holidays do not count as working days.
This requirement highlights the importance of providing sufficient notice when cancelling a booking. Just as you would be expected to follow the DVSA’s cancellation rules for your practical driving test, we expect you to respect our 48-hour cancellation policy for driving lessons.

Passengers
Due to Insurance and other safety issues Passengers are strictly not allowed to accompany the driving lesson in tuition vehicle.
Mobile phones
To avoid distractions, all pupils must switch off or silence their mobile phones before entering the tuition vehicle.
Your full attention must remain on the road and your instructor’s directions throughout the lesson
Lost property
Pupils are responsible for their personal belongings and must check the tuition vehicle before leaving at the end of each lesson.
The driving school accepts no responsibility for personal belongings left in the vehicle, subject to applicable legal obligations.
If any lost property is found, the instructor may make reasonable efforts to arrange its return
When to apply for driving test
Your Instructor will advise you when to apply for your practical driving test. If you book the driving test against the will of your driving instructor or without his or her knowledge then the Instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the tuition vehicle for the driving test, In which case the instructor will not be responsible for any loss of the driving test fee.
If in your instructors opinion your driving hasn’t reached the dvsa’s test standard then our instructors will let you know about 2 to 3 weeks before your driving test to change the test date failing that we will not be held responsible for refusing to take you on the test.
Attending the practical driving test
Before attending your practical driving test, you must ensure that you have everything required by the DVSA.
You must bring:
• Your valid provisional driving licence.
• Your theory test pass certificate, if required by the DVSA for your circumstances.
• Any other documents required for your test. Please check the DVSA’s requirements before your test date.
If you fail to bring the required documents or do not meet the DVSA’s requirements, your test may not go ahead, and you may lose your test fee. The pupil is responsible for ensuring that all necessary documents are available on the day of the test
Unsuccessful Driving Test
If you are unsuccessful in your practical driving test, you must continue taking regular driving lessons to maintain and improve your driving skills and ensure that your driving remains at the required test standard.
Your instructor will review your test result with you and explain the faults recorded by the examiner. You are expected to follow your instructor’s advice on how frequently you should take lessons and which areas of your driving need improvement before attempting another test.
Regular lessons and mock tests are strongly recommended to help you correct the faults identified during your previous test, build confidence, and demonstrate that you can drive safely and independently.
If, in your instructor’s professional opinion, your driving has not reached the required DVSA standard, they reserve the right to refuse the use of the tuition vehicle for your next practical driving test until you are sufficiently prepared.

Circumstances Beyond Our Control
All driving lesson bookings are made on the understanding that circumstances beyond the driving school’s reasonable control may occasionally result in a lesson being delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled.
These circumstances may include, but are not limited to:
• Traffic conditions: Heavy traffic, road closures, or unexpected delays that affect the scheduled lesson.
• Adverse weather conditions: Severe weather that makes driving unsafe or unsuitable for training.
• Vehicle breakdowns: Mechanical problems or unexpected vehicle defects that prevent the tuition vehicle from being used safely.
In such circumstances, the driving school will make every reasonable effort to inform the pupil as soon as possible and arrange an alternative lesson where appropriate.
Your safety is our priority. We will not proceed with a driving lesson if circumstances make it unsafe to do so.
The driving school cannot be held responsible for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Any rescheduling, refunds, or other arrangements will be handled in accordance with the school’s policies and applicable consumer law
